About Us

Rhyl City Strategy brings together key players from the statutory, voluntary and business sectors in a local Executive Board.  The Board is chaired by Barry Mellor of Arriva Buses Wales and comprises senior representatives from the following organisations:

Arriva Buses Wales; Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board; Careers Wales; Clwyd Coast Credit Union; Criminal Justice Intervention Wales (CJIW); Denbighshire County Council; Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council; Jobcentre Plus; Llandrillo College Rhyl; North Wales Probation; Public  Health Wales; Social Firms Wales; Wales Council for Voluntary Action; Welsh  Government (BETS).

In 2008, the Rhyl City Strategy Executive Board formed a Community Interest Company to take forward its work and to ensure its long-term sustainability. The Community Interest Company employs the staff team, who are based at office premises in Wood Road, Rhyl, and at the West Rhyl Primary Care Centre (Fit for Work Service Case Managers).

A core team of four staff members was established in 2007 when the Strategy was launched.   This core team continues to develop and manage a range of programmes in line with our business plan.  Additional team members are recruited where required to deliver new projects.
