Role Profiles

 Service Manager – Bridgette Handley

The role of the Service Manager is to project manage the day to day business operations of the Fit for Work Service contract; to provide leadership and direction to the FFWS Team and give management and support to FFWS Team ensuring that staff are working towards agreed aims and objectives within the scope of the service.

Partnership Development Manager – Eileen Higton

As Partnership Development Manager for the Fit for Work Service Eileen engages with GP’s and businesses across the area to promote health and wellbeing in the workplace. She also develops relationships with the businesses to promote the service. Eileen provides advice and support to small businesses on a range of Occupational Health issues and provides links to free sources of information and guidance. She also organises seminars and workshops on health & wellbeing issues in the workplace such as managing stress, healthy lifestyle choices and managing sickness absenteeism.

Case Managers – Mark Sanders, Graeme Johnson, Paula Walsh

The Case Managers are often the first point of contact that people have with the Fit For Work Service. An important part of this role is to support the person that is having difficulty retaining their employment. They offer support to clients when they are absent from work, we work holistically and treat all cases on an individual basis and liaise with their employer if required. After clients register with the service an Action Plan is agreed. To help clients back to work various interventions are utilised such as referring to a Physiotherapist, Counsellor/talking therapist and other specialist services. Access is rapid and is designed to help the client return to work sooner than they might otherwise do. During each step the Action Plan is reviewed by client and Case Manager.

 Administrator – Lloyd Beattie

As the Fit for Work Service Administrator Lloyd is the first point of call for any people trying to contact the Service. His duties range from sending emails and letters to designing posters and arranging meetings. Lloyd has had input in the construction of the company website, and also contributes when it comes to arranging events such as the Fit for Work Service launch and our conferences and workshops.
