General

Rhyl City Strategy’s new Fit for Work Service provides free and confidential support to help people with health problems get back to work.

The Fit for Work Service works with employees who have been off work with health problems for around two to six weeks and are seeking to return to their employment.

Our team of case managers makes sure that individual employees are able to access the support they need to return to work earlier than they otherwise would.

We are able to refer people to the appropriate organisations for advice and support with related issues such as debt or housing, help people access the NHS services they need to help them return to work earlier, such as physiotherapy and counselling, and liaise with employers to support the transition back into work.

We also provide help and advice for employers who may have staff on sickness absence, or who are looking to develop their workplace health practices. We can help employers to access information on a wide range of tools available to support health and wellbeing in the workplace, as well as help and guidance on the new GP Fit note.

To find out more about the Fit for work Service or to make an appointment, call us on 01745 369561 or email fitforwork@rhylcitystrategy.co.uk. You can be referred to the Fit for Work Service by your GP, a health professional or your employer, or you can refer yourself.  You could also drop in to talk to our Case Managers at the West Rhyl Primary Care Centre.
