“SHAPE YOUR
FUTURE”
The "Shape Your Future"
day was held in Communitites First building on Marsh Road on 23rd
October 2008 and saw more that 20 agencies working together for the
benefit of the Community. Rhyl City Strategy worked
closely with Pathways and Communitites First to organise the event,
which was designed to enage peole with health issues to explore
work opportunities.
As well as welfare to work agencies,
there were stands to promote healthy lifestyles, including food
demonstrations by the youth justice team and fruit smoothies from
Communities First.
The Stroke Association did
a fantastic job measuring blood pressure as well as the stalls by
the Police, Fire Service, Working Links, Careers, Remploy and Job
Centre Plus to name but a few.
A great day for the
community and the agencies involved. We hope to have our next
“Shape Your Future” in the New Year.
